A fiercely proud “hockey mom”, Denise has passed her love of sports, fitness and CrossFit onto her son Matthew and husband Chris.

Denise took a serious interest in fitness after college. She has followed a number of fitness programs and regimens to include boot camp style classes, weight training, distance running and she has consistently participated in area races and events such as the Utica Boilermaker and Ride for Missing Children. Denise was first introduced to Russian kettle bell workouts and “CrossFit-like” programs in 2007, which changed her life. She became stronger, better conditioned and soon began seeing the results she had always wanted. Denise started religiously following the CFHQ main site WOD, at home, focusing on improving her level of fitness and CF performance.

In 2011 Denise received her Level 1 CrossFit Trainer Certification increasing her knowledge and desire to share this life changing style of fitness with others. Always striving to improve she has attended certification courses in CF endurance, Goal Setting, Olympic lifting and Kettle Bells. She will continue to further her knowledge base and skills by attending future seminars and certifications with CrossFit and other fitness related professionals and organizations. Denise has found it extremely rewarding to coach CFMV clients and witness them accomplish goals they never thought they could achieve.
